The Armed Forces of the Commonwealth of Skytopia, abbreviated to CAF, was the military branch of the Commonwealth during its heyday. Admiral Svendheim was the Chief Commandant of the Armed Forces as well as General Secretary of the Commonwealth, and Ignacious Fuseli was his second-in-command.
When Fuseli left the Commonwealth in 182 A.U. to found the Crimson Armada, he based the structure of his new organization on that of the CAF. The ranks and insignia of the Armada and the CAF are nearly identical, although Fuseli avoided the use of Svendheim's "Crown of Magnus" in his rank markings.
