The Ingersoll is an infamous fighter craft, designed after the Great Upheaval from old diagrams. It is the plane of choice for the wealthy Skyrate who wants speed, maneuverability, and versatility. The Ingersoll is often called the "swordfish of the sky."

[edit] Fighting the Ingersoll

Many a Skyrate has watched this yellow bee of doom buzz by them, shredding their armor with its fire. As many others have learned, this does not have to be the case. The buzzing bee can be easily overcome with a simple Maverick maneuver.

If you find yourself facing an Ingersoll that is not accompanied by a blimp, go ahead and shoot down its cronies first if you can, and then reassess your armor and maneuverability (if there is a blimp, it would probably be wise to take down the Ingersoll first). If you don't believe you can take any more hits, then it's time to run. To get away from an Ingersoll is simple; turn straight at it, avoid its fire and fly in the exact opposite direction. If you believe you still have the armor to fight, then hit the throttle and jet away from the Ingersoll as fast as you can.

The Ingersoll will chase you like a bee to honey, and this is your chance to take it down. Wait until the Ingersoll is within your view, and cut the throttle until the Ingersoll's arc has mostly passed you. Start firing now. Then hit it to maximum to get the Ingersoll in YOUR arc for as long as possible, likely not more than one or two seconds. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
