Professional Background
Sildar Emvris, or 'Sil' as he is known to his friends and crew, began his flight career while taking classes at New Hovlund, some time before the Great Upheaval. He used the money he earned from courier missions to supplement his parents' financial support and graduated with no academic debt. Against his parents' wishes he turned down a position as aide to the governor of Cidade, and shortly thereafter signed his name to an Echo Flight School application. Upon graduation he took a job with HCMW ferrying parts to one of the factories on ALPHA 2 responsible for producing the Havoc. He was caught by HCMW security forces one evening attempting to fuel an unfinished Havoc, presumably to steal the aircraft (although this was never proven). Prior to a brief stay in lock-up for trespassing and forced entry he was discharged from HCMW. Upon his release he used his life's savings to purchase a Nova and began running combat missions for the Red Faction. Although Sildar was known to be quite fond of his comrades and the stated goals and ideals of the Red Faction, his allegiance to the Faction was largely nominal and he apparently became rather disillusioned with what he called the 'temerity' of Red leaders. He abandoned his post at Noptis shortly before practically disappearing from the face of Skytopia.

Although records from the Great Upheaval are very incomplete (and being highly classified, far outside the scope of clearance for this document), several notes and rumours may place Sildar at Tortuga at the time of the incident. A lack of noted communication however leads many to speculate that he was, in fact, piloting a pirate craft at the time. To further obfuscate matters, Sildar violently refuses to comment on the topic and the loss of Noptis means that it is impossible to check flight logs for possible destinations.

Regardless of his possible involvement in the Great Upheaval, Sildar appeared at his family's home at Juliet approximately eight months ago. The family staff reported his behaviour as 'erratic', 'anxious', and in one opinion 'crazed'. He reportedly requested money from his parents but was denied; he was seen the same night leaving the estate and booked an early-morning flight to Echo. Two days later his parents were found dead in their rooms and to date Sildar is wanted for questioning in connection with their deaths. The investigation has been closed but Juliet authorities have not seen fit to release any details, even on an agency level. The Emvris estate is presently being held and maintained by Juliet's government as a 'public treasure'.

Roughly two months ago Sildar applied for entry and was accepted into Echo Flight School under an assumed name; he graduated swiftly and has since applied for tenure there under his legal name. The application for tenure is presently under indefinite review, likely pending the resolution of the investigation on Juliet. Presently he seems interested in nothing more than personal aggrandizement and has been steadily increasing his own financial assets. To this end his has accquired a small aeronautical fleet which he employs out-of-pocket; this operation is run out of Sharif. Sharif officials claim to have no knowledge of any smuggling activities but ISF reports indicate that "Tyche's Delivery Boys" may be responsible for the recent surge in the Sharifan economy.

Personal Life
Born as the eldest child and heir to the affluent Emvris family of Juliet, Sildar spent the majority of his childhood amid the gardens of his home skyland and in the company of his rather private family. (See attached dossiers on Selene Ilspa-Emvris, Garlin Emvris, Cale Emvris, Elena Datsvild, and Veran Emvris.) He completed standard education courses in private schools on Juliet before attending New Hovlund University at his parents' behest; while enrolled there he excelled in his studies and formed several lasting friendships with the faculty. Interviews with these faculty members indicate that Sildar desired to pursue a hands-on approach to Skytopia politics rather than the white-collar paperwork career his parents prefer.

His final year at NHU was punctuated by a rather tempestuous romantic relationship with Gabrelle Datsvild; rumours indicate a brief engagement existed. Upon graduation, however, Sildar announced his career decision to his parents and broke off all contact with them; he also ended his relationship with Ms. Datsvild. His instructors at Echo Flight School commented that he was an eager but impulsive student, given to sudden rages and abrupt joys. This behaviour likely prompted his decision to trespass on HCMW grounds the night of his arrest, and his Red Faction psych-eval indicates a likelihood of bipolar disorder; ironically this same report also notes a propensity towards sudden violence and marks him as 'cleared for combat engagements'.

Many ex-crewman of Sildar's personal aircraft report that he is harsh, driven, sharp-tongued, and hot-headed. Some report that it was a privilege to work for him, but swear they'll never do it again. A select few speak of Sildar as a fiercely loyal protector, but add that his manner is abrasive and cruel. While it would seem that he runs a very tight ship, his attitude towards his fellow skyrates is quite different. He is reported to be helpful, supportive, and typically polite, although his patience wears thin with particularly thick-headed flight school students and graduates alike.

Despite his friendly attitude on the airwaves he does seem to harbor the odd grudge against the factions; from time to time he can be found in a tavern muttering about the 'poor state of Skytopia', how one professor or another 'would be sick if they knew', and less frequently that he could 'manage the lot with less inanity'. Unfortunately he also seems to get into a brawl any time he starts muttering; he has been escorted back to his craft several times by his crew, waving his sidearm about and swearing loudly.

As a point of interest, Sildar makes regular visits to the cathedral at Lhasa. While Lhasa's engineers are renowned for optimizing the props of any aircraft, he visits the hangars rarely. The purpose of these visits remain unknown since the groundskeepers strictly enforce their guests' privacy.

Sildar is readily identified by sight owing to the pince-nez glasses he favors and his unique sidearm. He tends to overdress and is known to frequent several designer outlets on Cidade. It is known that his spectacles do not cover his entire field of vision, but operatives are still advised to approach this individual with caution.
